180g Audiophile Vinyl Pressing
LIMITED EDITION
In an "Inside-out" gatefold album featuring technical details and concert photos.
André Weiß - Piano
Jean-Philippe Wadle - Bass
Dominik Raab - Drums
Guest: Ralph Moore - Saxophone
With a relaxed flow and seasoned virtuosity, the band led by André Weiß presents itself impressively fresh for a jazz trio. The influence of the legendary pianist Oscar Peterson, known for his groove and ornamental playing, is particularly evident.
The trio's sound is enriched by the inventive creativity of Ralph Moore, described as one of the most convincing and individualistic saxophonists of our time. The American has played in the bands of Horace Silver and J.J. Johnson, and collaborated with Freddie Hubbard, Kenny Barron, Roy Hargrove, Cedar Walton, McCoy Tyner, Ray Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Haynes, Oscar Peterson, and many others.
Stuttgart pianist André Weiß ranks among the greatest talents of the modern jazz scene. With his always swinging play, he makes a convincing case for the beauty, power, and elegance of "Straight Ahead Jazz."
The foundation is laid with strong rhythms and warm sound by bassist Jean-Philippe Wadle. Wadle's skills have taken him to concert stages worldwide with musicians like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Patti Austin, Ack van Rooyen, or the hr-Bigband. Since 2015, he has been a permanent member of the quartet of the legend Emil Mangelsdorff.
Drummer Dominik Raab is equipped with perfect technique and excellent swing. He has played at concerts, studio, and radio productions with musicians like Don Braden, James Morrison, Jim McNeely, Tony Lakatos, and Norma Winstone.
