product description
Michael Kiedaisch - Marimba, Vibraphone, and Percussion; Mike Svoboda - Trombone, Conch Shell; Eberhard Hahn - Saxophones, Flutes, Bass Clarinet
All the odds and ends on CD...
... is what the three musicians of the Michael Kiedaisch Trieau have. The music draws from various sources, as each of them has worked with such diverse music creatives as Frank Zappa, Mikis Theodorakis, Andreas Vollenweider, or Karlheinz Stockhausen. Thus, on the open field prepared by contemporary improvisational music, jazz-rooted meets free and twelve-tone, European chamber music meets imaginary folkloric.
This production exclusively features original compositions by Michael Kiedaisch. SEVEN THINGS essentially describe all the things that belong to someone and are important to them. Additionally, the number seven also hints at several pieces whose musical structure has to do with this number. As recommendations, ouagadougou, interludium (open your bag please!), and plougasnou can be mentioned.
The Michael Kiedaisch Trieau with Mike Svoboda and Eberhard Hahn has existed for over 10 years. It originated on the occasion of a production on the theme of "water," from which the Francophone variation of Trio to Trieau also comes.
