Christian Meyers is regarded by connoisseurs as one of the best trumpeters in Germany. In his elegant combo "Meyers Nachtcafé", the Berliner brings together well-known musicians from the Stuttgart scene: Martin Johnson (Rhodes), Rüdiger Nass (guitar), Alex Uhl (bass) and Eckhard Stromer (drums).
Following the example of Roy Hargrove's band RH Factor, Meyers Nachtcafé combines elements of jazz, funk, hip-hop and soul. The music gets you moving and is interspersed with lounge ballads in which Christian Meyers elicits wonderfully floating tones full of melancholy from his flugelhorn.
Meyers Nachtcafé is a band that is great fun to listen to, especially live, because the energy of the interplay gets into your stomach and legs.

Sound artist and sound engineer Johannes Wohlleben, who has recorded two CD productions by Christian Meyers for the Neuklang label, was once again responsible for this live recording.
The beautiful evening was recorded in the traditional way, pure analog directly on stereo tape and without any further processing... and now finally available on vinyl!
