Olivia Trummer's Westwind album, originally released in the spring of 2008, garnered enthusiastic praise, including the German Record Critics' Award and Stereoplay's CD of the Month accolades. Now, in a nod to vintage audiophile sensibilities, the album is receiving a deluxe analog treatment with a vinyl edition.

Recorded in December 2007, the Olivia Trummer Trio's Westwind was captured both digitally on the Pyramix workstation and analogously on a Studer A80 24-track tape machine, boasting a meticulously crafted analog signal chain from microphone to tape. The mixing process utilized revered analog equipment including a Neve console, Studer tape machine, and the iconic EMT gold foil reverb.

For this special vinyl release, mastered in "half-speed," two previously unreleased tracks, "Teufelstanz" and "Weihnachtsmann," join the original album lineup, adding a touch of intrigue to the collection.

The vinyl edition promises not just an analog sonic experience but also a journey into contrasting musical realms, much like the juxtaposition between analog and digital domains.
