REFLECTION IN YOUR EYES has become a deeply personal, private, and public album by and about Patrick Bebelaar. While all these attributes inevitably apply to an artistic achievement, the Stuttgart-based pianist and composer attach great importance to reflecting emotional and musical authenticity in his music.

Especially in today's age, where public and private spheres have become interchangeable and trivialized, particularly in the digital realm, reflection and development, existential matters, and formative experiences are hardly discernible amidst the flood of information. With his latest release, Bebelaar seeks to reduce everything to the essentials. On Reflection In Your Eyes, Patrick Bebelaar focuses on the quartet and sensitively explores the various possibilities of this lineup. Whether solo, in duo, trio, or tutti settings, whether harmonically bound or guided only by motifs and melodies, the four musicians effortlessly pass the ball to each other. Communication arises, and profound "conversations" find space.

Through his compositions, he paints a picture that not only depicts the current state of the artist Patrick Bebelaar but also incorporates and reflects his past experiences and encounters.
