Pianist Koen Schalkwijk is responsible for most of the compositions of the trio. He has performed on several major stages, including the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Bimhuis in Amsterdam. Mathias Polligkeit on double bass and Antoine Duijkers on drums not only provide a solid foundation but also pave the way for the expressive compositions in which they equally immerse themselves. Besides the intensive exploration of contemporary jazz trends, the influence of pop music and classical music on the trio's sound is unmistakable. The compositions are rich in expression and melody. The musicians move fluidly through the pieces, following the flow of the music wherever it may lead.
