With the Noah Diemer Quartet, the Freundeskreis Klangkultur presents its first award-winning concert, thereby launching a new series dedicated to promoting exceptional young musicians. Noah Diemer already impressed the Freundeskreis in the first round of funding with his musical style and is now being given the opportunity to perform an exclusive studio concert.
Together with Daniel Roncari on saxophone, Mario Angelov on bass, and David Giesel on drums, the quartet creates a modern ensemble sound full of lyrical depth, subtle dynamics, and narrative tension. The music blends contemporary jazz aesthetics with melodic clarity, creating an intense atmosphere that oscillates between subtle melancholy, energetic outbursts, and poetic openness.
The program centers on Noah Diemer’s original compositions, which are characterized by a distinctive dramatic creativity and emotional complexity. Inspired by the literary worlds of Japanese author Haruki Murakami, these musical character studies are filled with ethereal moods and surprising twists. Like Murakami’s characters, the compositions move between dream and reality, intimacy and vastness, tranquility and explosive energy.
