Jazz pianist Johannes Mössinger and his top-class New York Quartet recorded an impeccable concert at Bauer Studios as part of the 2015 Ludwigsburger Jazztage, which will be released in the STUDIO KONZERT vinyl edition.
Together with three stars of the New York jazz scene - trumpeter Ryan Carniaux, double bassist Calvin Jones and drummer Karl Latham - they performed lyrical ballads and grandiose through-composed pieces by Johannes Mössinger as well as free jazz-like numbers with driving rhythms. Together, the quartet creates captivating music that shines through its density, intensity, melody and, above all, its ambition.
