Jean-Christophe Cholet appears to be one of the most distinctive figures in French improvised music. Despite a classical education, his works are rich and diverse - with a constant: artistic and cultural transversality. He combines contemporary harmonies and traditional singing, a jazz trio with a classical choir, or instruments that don't traditionally play together. His discography includes more than 20 albums, most of them as a leader.
