Heeresmusikkorps 12 Veitshöchheim
The Veitshöchheim Army Music Corps was established on May 1, 1962, as Air Force Music Corps 5 in Fürstenfeldbruck. On April 1, 1963, it was renamed Army Music Corps 13. On January 16, 1964, it was relocated to Nuremberg, and on April 1, 1964, it was renamed Army Music Corps 12. On October 1, 1965, Army Music Corps 12 was relocated to Veitshöchheim. At the end of 2002, Army Music Corps 12 was assigned to the divisional troops of the newly established Air Assault Brigade (Division Luftbewegliche Operationen - DLO) in Veitshöchheim.
From that time comes the continuing tradition of outfitting the corps members with the burgundy beret of the Army Aviation and Airborne Troops. On October 1, 2013, it was renamed Veitshöchheim Army Music Corps and placed under the command of the Center of Military Music of the Bundeswehr
