product description
Sebastian Jäger – bass trombone, tenor horn, trombone, vocals; Jan Jäger – trombone, tenor horn, guitar, vocals; Andreas Schmid – bass, guitar, vocals; Christian Grässlin – trumpet, flugelhorn; Christopher Schneider – saxophone; Alexander Parzhuber – drums
Since the release of their first and highly acclaimed album "hart verzwungen Vol. one," a lot has happened: Over 500 performances, a tour in India, the release of the single "Wirklich," and many, many parties. After so much success and excitement, the six passionate musicians of ErpfenBrass now proudly present "HART VERZWUNGEN VOL.TWO."
Outstanding technique and infectious energy have accompanied the band for eight years now. Crafted on a small hill in the heart of Tuscany, the guys are now venturing into new territory: Bassist and composer Andreas Schmid (Andi) has written poignant vocal tracks (the single "Wirklich" was released in July 2017 as a preview of the album) and arranged well-known pieces for the band ("Gonna Fly Now," "I Gotta Feeling," "Earth Song"...). Also joining the team are the young talents Alexander Parzhuber on drums and Christopher Schneider on saxophone.
All these new experiences, tireless creativity, and fresh ideas have now been encapsulated in HART VERZWUNGEN VOL.TWO. Here, pop sounds meet brass tones, traditional polka blends with global Balkan sounds.
Though not as young as they were eight years ago, but even more captivating, ErpfenBrass offers an album full of sophistication and joy of playing, guaranteeing listeners fun and good spirits.

"Impressively weighty. [...] The band adapts various styles with fascinating ease, always sounding organic. [...] What ErpfenBrass has recorded for "Hart Verzwungen Vol.2" is absolutely worth listening to." Heidenheimer Zeitung (Jens Eber) 12/17
"Feel-good groove, and that from Germany and with German lyrics? Of course, that works." Stereoplay (Lothar Brandt) 12/17
"[...] and so the eager listener surfs between Pisa and Brennberg beyond all banality with the "Samba de Cidra" and the "Earth Song" on a wave of holiday-friendly good mood, all without coercion into a good time." Jazz-Podium 03/18 (Tobias Böcker)
