Svetlana Marinchenko

Svetlana Marinchenko is a jazz pianist from Moscow who studied in St. Petersburg under the renowned pianist and teacher Andrei Kondakov. After initial successes in Russia and participation in international festivals (Rajation Jazz Festival, Finland; Close Encounters, Finland; Jazz in Groningen, Netherlands) and the release of her first album "Present Simple," she moved to Munich for further studies in 2016. In the same year, she won the first prize at the Steinway Solo Pianist Competition. For the past four years, Svetlana has been actively exploring the German jazz scene with her trio, performing in various clubs and festivals. She has won the Kurt Maas Jazz Award, an internship at Berklee (Boston), and secured the second place at the international pianist competition in Langnau (Switzerland) under the patronage of Aaron Goldberg. According to critics, Svetlana combines elements of Russian classical and romantic music with the rhythmic drive of jazz. Her playing is characterized by high energy, virtuosity, and total dedication, coupled with lyrical melodicism.
