Quentin Ghomari: DEUXIÈME MOUVEMENT

Following the critically acclaimed debut in 2021, trumpeter and composer Quentin Ghomari returns with ÔTRIUM - deuxième mouvement – a vibrant and instinctive continuation of his exploration into intimate, acoustic jazz.

The ensemble Ôtrium – an trio of trumpet, double bass, and drums – was born from Ghomari’s need to express his musical language more personally, after years of composing and performing in groups such as Papanosh, Ping Machine, Big Four, and the Orchestre National de Jazz. The name Ôtrium is a coined word that fuses “trio” with the Latin otium – a concept of creative idleness, referring to a state of reflective, intentional stillness that fosters artistic expression.

Deuxième mouvement celebrates the joy of the journey – whether hesitant, weightless, or determined – always rooted in the present moment. It’s music that moves, breathes, and invites the listener to be part of its momentum.
