Quartetto Con Affetto
The Quartetto con Affetto was formed in 1991 during the joint studies of Lucia Dimmeler, Eva Grießhaber, Bettina Haugg, and Manuela Mohr at the Freiburg University of Music. The name signals the intention to express the emotional content of the music.
Numerous concerts in Germany and abroad stood out for their unique and thoughtful interpretations, inspiring HR (Hessischer Rundfunk) in 1997 to broadcast a comprehensive sound portrait of the Quartetto con Affetto. Collaborations with contemporary composers led to premieres of chamber music and solo recorder works. The musicians master a wide range of instruments, from replicas of Renaissance ensembles to high-baroque solo recorders and the most modern instruments.
