With "FEARLESS FRIDAY," Omer Klein presents not only his latest compositions but also the new lineup of his trio, featuring bassist Haggai Cohen-Milo and drummer Amir Bresler, one of the most remarkable young talents from Israel. The change in personnel in early 2014, with drummer Ziv Ravitz being replaced by Amir Bresler, marks a kind of shift in direction for the trio.
Throughout the year, the trio embarks on a worldwide tour, introducing Klein's new formation to international audiences. Klein states, "The three of us clicked from the first moment. I got very inspired to write new music for this band and explore new directions." After a year on tour together and a recording session at Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg that can rightfully be called magical, the "Fearless Friday" album becomes a magnificent culmination and sets the course for the future of artist Omer Klein and his trio.
"I feel that we managed to give each song its unique atmosphere and distinct character. And since we toured a lot prior to the recording, our improvisations in the studio came out really fearless and daring. We were listening hard, and embracing mystery and surprise," says Omer Klein about this album.
