product description
As the grand finale of the anniversary year celebrating 20 years of Pop@MHL, Volume IV of the album series LübeckSounds will be released under the programmatic title THIS IS THE FUTURE. The album will be musically presented on December 18 at Treibsand in Lübeck.
Tim Haas, composer and master's student at MHL:
"For me, THIS IS THE FUTURE is a piece that serves as a reminder that the future begins today, and that every moment holds the potential to shape what lies ahead. Much like how this piece came into being, I envision the future as well: different musical styles, instruments, and people from diverse backgrounds collaborating to create a unified whole in which everyone finds their place in the end.
The music moves between orchestral classical elements, groovy club sounds, and free improvisation. The wake-up call THIS IS THE FUTURE is heard in many different languages. As a reflection of this diversity, the composition is released in three different versions: a long version featuring extensive improvisation, a single version, and a remix produced by Jan Stöber, a former student of the Lübeck Academy of Music.
For Tim Haas, the album release marks the conclusion of his bachelor's and master's studies at the Lübeck Academy of Music, where he dedicated himself to exploring and creating new ways of musical communication.
