product description
Sivan Talmor – guitar, vocals; Rotem Frimer – electric guitar, vocals; Shelly Levy – keyboard, beats, vocals
The impressive Israeli singer-songwriter Sivan Talmor recorded a live concert in the renowned Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg in July 2016. Sivan Talmor and her two musicians, along with 90 attendees in the 180m2 studio, a Studer tape machine in the control room, and the magic begins. Pure, vibrant, unplugged!
In the studio, Sivan Talmor delivered her heartfelt, sometimes melancholic music in a very special ambiance. Alongside her two fellow musicians, she performed exactly the songs featured on her latest CD "FIRE".
"The lights dim, and with 'First Step,' a fine mid-tempo number, enchants the audience right from the beginning of this evening. Sivan Talmor plays acoustic guitar and with her soft and expressive voice, she clearly demonstrates that she has what it takes to conquer the European market. This is beautifully evident in the ballads 'Words' and 'I'll Be.' In 'Hide & Seek,' an electric guitar comes into play, creating a rougher and slightly darker mood, but also a cool groove signals a minimal change in direction. '[...] 'Everybody's Gotta Learn' - a famous ballad by James Warren and The Korgis, first made known worldwide - is an intense piece, with the vocals coming across really strong. [...]
With a wonderful waltz, the Israeli finally wins over the audience: 'Circles' is an impressive demonstration of her vocal range, as well as a strong performance from Rotem Frimer on the acoustic guitar and captivating three-part harmony vocals. Even with 'Fire' - the title track of the LP - we hear all three musicians in trio, creating a charming opus! 'No Matter' is a relaxed tune for dreaming and leaning back. Surprisingly, this was also the last piece in the official program. [...] The encores 'Young Believers' and 'Take It With Me' thrilled all present, who thanked for this touching concert with sustained, sincere applause." - Manfred Krug, Vinyl-fan.de
