Julien Soro

The composer, alto, tenor, and soprano saxophonist, as well as keyboardist, is one of the most talented young musicians of his generation, having earned a first prize with distinction at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP). He began his career as the leader and composer of the Inama Sextet, winning the first prize for both group and soloist categories at the 2007 Esprit Jazz Festival in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, along with the second prize for composition at the 2007 Concours National de La Défense. During the same period, he performed as a sideman in trombonist Glenn Ferris's quintet and in saxophonist Jean-Louis Chautemps and François Jeanneau's saxophone quartet.

Together with Stephan Caracci, who plays vibraphone, marimba, glockenspiel, other percussion instruments, and keyboards, and drummer Ariel Tessier, they form the group "Players."
