Hanna Shybayeva
Hanna Shybayeva, normally, many classical pianists nowadays resist the idea of performing live due to a misunderstood pursuit of perfection. However, when the Netherlands-based pianist Hanna Shybayeva learned about the concept of "Studio Konzert" at the Bauer Studios, she was enthusiastic. The live concert experience serves as an energy boost for her expressive power.
In her youth, the Belarusian-born pianist was honored with numerous European and U.S. music awards and was referred to as a "wonder child" on the piano. During the STUDIO KONZERT on February 29, 2016, Shybayeva impressively demonstrated that she had grown from a prodigy into a magnificent pianist. As the first classical musician ever at a Studio Konzert, she took her place at the Steinway grand piano in the large studio in Ludwigsburg and performed an extremely demanding program spanning different eras. True to the motto "Let's Dance," Shybayeva presented compositions by Claude Debussy and Frédéric Chopin, as well as works by Baroque composers like Domenico Scarlatti and François Couperin on vinyl. Shybayeva showcased that she can not only harness the audience's energy for highly energetic interpretations but also that the dance element pervades the entire history of music.
The result is a Studio Konzert vinyl that presents an artist in her directness, captivating with her playing and expression.
