It was only after several years of marriage that Chai Min and Johannes Hustedt discovered by chance, brought together on stage, that the alphorn and flute sound fantastic together.
Since then, they have been performing as the duo "querhorn" with a repertoire that spans classical pieces by composers like J.S. Bach and W.A. Mozart, as well as Alpine music and works by contemporary composers. They have been guests at the chamber concerts of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, DAS FEST Karlsruhe, the Hohenloher Kultursommer, Kultursommer Nordhessen, the International Bach Academy Stuttgart, and featured on the SWR TV show "Kaffee oder Tee". Concert tours have taken them to Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, the USA, South America, Georgia, and the Mediterranean region.
In 2022, KREISRUND.media, under the direction of Magdalena Adugna, produced an artistic TV documentary about the duo querhorn. Additionally, they were selected for ensemble support by the German Music Council and NEUSTART KULTUR.
