The Spheres trilogy consists of three compositions that exclusively utilize natural recording surfaces, where sound takes the place of melody and rhythm. The perception of time recedes into the background. As an artistic response to climate change, it establishes a continuous inner movement and a gradual progression of musical processes. The duration of the compositions, a challenge in times of shortened attention spans, forms an analogy to the pace of changes in the world.
