product description
Erpfenbrass, a six-member band from Erpfenhausen, consisting of Jan Jäger (trombone/trumpet/guitar/vocals), Sebastian Jäger (tuba/trombone/vocals), Andreas Schmid (bass/guitar/vocals), Christian Grässlin (trumpet/flugelhorn), Christopher Schneider (saxophone), and Alexander Parzhuber and Markus Ambrosi (drums), presents their new album "DREI," exploring new musical paths.
The album marks a decade of band history with songs that have been with the band since its beginnings. On the other hand, it includes melancholic ballads that illustrate the maturity and development of the band. Andreas Schmid, the musician of the band, emphasizes the shift towards more vocals, with the bassist now firmly integrated as a singer. In addition to cover versions of well-known pieces in the Erpfenbrass style, the album also features many original compositions by Schmid.
The six musicians from Erpfenhausen showcase their connection to their homeland, groove, and a rich brass sound on the album. The recently released singles "Dancefloor" and "Immer wenn es dunkel wird" are true party anthems for the German-speaking area and demonstrate instrumental finesse and virtuosity.
Guests on the album include Tomás Pérez (percussion), Johann Seifert (vocals, guitar, piano, organ), Markus Ehrlich (tenor saxophone), Alex Schultz (guitar), Raphael Wressnig (organ), Hannes Butzer (guitar), and Lionel Wharton (Jamaram).
