Anne Czichowsky (born in 1981 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland) studied jazz singing at the conservatories in Stuttgart and Graz (Austria). She gained recognition through international and national awards and received widespread acclaim for her concerts and initial CDs. In 2011, she became the only singer to be awarded the State Jazz Prize of Baden-Württemberg. With her rare preference for Bebop and scat singing, she is considered one of the "keepers of the flame" in Germany. Her lyrics for influential instrumental pieces and solos of that era have also gained international attention.
