Come, Let's Celebrate
The highly dedicated amateur choir under the direction of Axel Schweikert presents on its fourth CD recording standards of gospel and spiritual literature as well as African spirituals, which give the program its special fire.
The choir surprises with its absolutely professional level:
Each singer delves deeply into the songs and thus finds their own connection to the repertoire. It is clear that everyone is deeply engaged, and the spark of enthusiasm jumps to the listener. The Gospel Boogie surprises with a rap interlude!
The choir is accompanied by a small instrumental group and six vocalists. The Spiritual and Folklore Choir Baden-Baden was founded in 1969 by participants of a holiday camp organized by the evangelical youth community. The initially small and spontaneous singing community now consists of around 50 choir members. Concert tours at home and abroad have also made the choir known beyond national borders.
