Kusimanten
"The Kusimanten" – three jazz musicians touring the globe since 2014. During their travels, they speak unknown languages and witness the unfamiliar. Since then, they draw inspiration from foreign scents and new sounds. All of this resonates in their compositions when The Kusimanten sing about life and letting go, grandmothers, tomatoes, and trumpets.
With playful ease and a jazz-rock drive, sometimes entangled in complex meters, they connect Alpine and Eastern European folklore to almost experimental art song passages. At the center of the audience's attention is the breathtaking voice of the exceptional talent born in Odessa, Ukraine, in 1988 – Tamara Lukasheva.
With infectious joy, the trio presents the greatest pearls of Kusimantik: earthy and inventive Marie-Theres Härtel on the viola, versatile and powerful Tamara Lukasheva on vocals, virtuosic and mellifluous Susanne Paul on the cello – haute couture for the ears
