Kicks'n Sticks is the professional jazz orchestra of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, bringing together many of the best jazz musicians residing in the area. Established in 2002, the band currently comprises a pool of over 30 musicians. Kicks'n Sticks is dedicated to presenting the entire history and spectrum of orchestral jazz in artistically high-quality performances.

Having performed with artists like Bill Ramsey, Janice Dixon, Xavier Naidoo, and Marc Marschall, Kicks'n Sticks has gained extensive concert experience over the years. This has allowed them to develop a remarkably diverse repertoire, ranging from the swing of the 1930s to contemporary premieres.

The musical direction of the band is equally shared among Frank Runhof, Martin S. Schmitt, and Jochen Welsch, all of whom contribute to Kicks'n Sticks' distinctive sound as accomplished composers and arrangers.
