Once a year, music enthusiasts, winners of the Jugend musiziert competition, music students, lecturers, and professors from all over Europe and Canada gather in Ochsenhausen for the Interregional Youth Music Festival (IRO). IRO has grown from the idea of international youth encounters and talent promotion. Music serves as the mediator, the bridge between nations. 2007s project of IRO, under the direction of Prof. Wolfgang Gönnenwein, presents a "classical meets jazz" program with the premiere and world recording of Wolfgang Dauner's Prelude to the Primal Scream and Schubert's 'Unfinished Symphony':
