Friedrich Fröschle

Friedrich Fröschle (* December 29, 1944, in Stuttgart) is a German organist and Kirchenmusikdirektor (director of church music).
He received his church music education at the Kirchenmusikschule Esslingen and the Musikhochschule Stuttgart. Fröschle completed his studies with the A-exam for church music and furthered his education with renowned European organists.
He began his career in Heidenheim an der Brenz. Fröschle succeeded Helmut Bornefeld as Bezirkskantor (district cantor) at the Evangelical Pauluskirche in Heidenheim and concurrently held a teaching position at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Esslingen. From 1982, he served as Kirchenmusikdirektor at the Evangelical Church St. Anna in Augsburg. In 1991, he was appointed as the First Organist and Kantor at the Ulm Minster, succeeding Edgar Rabsch. He held this position until the end of 2009, where he was involved as a conductor of the Motettenchor der Münsterkantorei, the Oratorienchor, and other choirs. In retirement, he continues to perform as a concert organist throughout Europe.
