A pandemonium: the four seasons as the four apocalyptic horsemen. The weather as the enemy. Daniel Michael Kaiser responds artistically to climate change with a four-part arc. Each of the four sections has its own sound. None of the elements used are repeated.
Kaiser's material always consists of natural recordings; sometimes distorted to create the sound that has the necessary temperature. Sonically inspired by Cyclobe and SunnO))) at one end of the spectrum, by medieval chants at the other end, in between you can find Musique Concrète, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix... The instrumentation alone would defy description, as besides a string orchestra, a string and bass clarinet quartet, and various guitars and basses, unconventional sound generators like Cracklebox and Howl tube are used. In addition, there are recordings of noises, for example from a frozen lake or the Andalusian summer.
