Harmonicamento: Behind this ensemble lie four experienced harmonica players. Brigitte Burgbacher, Kathrin Gass, Birgit Käfer, and Gerhard Müller are all members of the Hohnerklang Orchestra from Trossingen and also perform there as harmonica soloists.
The repertoire of this CD includes, in addition to arrangements by Brigitte Burgbacher, some special arrangements by Hans-Günther Kölz. As a lecturer at the Hohner Conservatory and conductor of the Hohnerklang Orchestra, he has a special connection to the harmonica, which is reflected in his compositions and arrangements. In addition to the classic quartet lineup with two melody voices, bass, and chords, other instrumentations are possible due to the versatility of the players, such as four chromatic harmonicas, accordion, or piano.
