Asita Djavadi & Jan Röck

FRAGILE - French for "fragile" - this is how Asita Djavadi and Jan Röck see the music, which requires a delicate space just like love.

In the jazz standard "My Funny Valentine," the focus is on giving each other space and listening. This is how music is created, and this is also how their own songs emerge – often through collaborative improvisation, and at other times through a clear theme and the resulting melody. The delicate pieces are juxtaposed with songs from various stage programs of the Djavadi/Röck duo: showstoppers like Liza Minnelli's "Cabaret" and "The World Goes 'Round" are enriched with unforgettable chansons from Edith Piaf, whose life the duo has reflected on stage many times. Thus, "La Vie En Rose," "Milord," and "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" must not be missing.

Pure, intimate, fragile. The range extends from original compositions to English songs and French chansons. Why such diversity? Because the language of music is so multifaceted. Each musical style speaks for itself and sometimes carries a common message: the word and music of longing for love.
